Frequently Asked Questions
What is CBD?
CBD, or cannabidiol, is an organic chemical compound known as a phytocannabinoid and is one of many cannabinoids that cannabis plants naturally create. It is commonly used for anti-anxiety, pain relief, and a variety of other wellness applications. To learn more, read our blog article that's all about CBD.
How is hemp different than marijuana or cannabis?
Scientifically speaking, "marijuana" and "hemp" are the plant, which is actually known as cannabis. That being said, hemp is typically the modern term of cannabis plants that contain extremely low percentages or expressions of THC cannabinoids, while offering higher levels of CBD cannabinoids. Industrial hemp, for example, is only allowed to have a maximum of .3% THC. Marijuana is an older term that is falling out of use due to its many recognized negative connotations. Virtually all legal CBD products, such as KMRelief's, are derived from hemp.
Do KMRelief CBD products have THC in them?
All of KMRelief's CBD products contain no more than .3% THC, which is the allowable amount by the 2018 Farm Bill. Trace amounts of THC in our CBD products will not get you high, but are likely to enhance the overall efficacy of any CBD product for most people due to the entourage effect.
Will CBD make me fail a drug test?
In virtually all cases, consuming CBD products will not lead to a positive drug test. Drug tests are typically looking exclusively for THC, which is stored in the fat cells. Many CBD products do contain trace amounts of THC, but unless you consume extremely large amounts of CBD products, the chance you will fail a THC drug test is very slim.
Is CBD legal in my state?
Hemp-derived CBD that contains less than .3% THC is legal in all 47 states, with the exceptions being Idaho, Nebraska, and South Dakota, which we do not ship to. To all other states, we quickly and discretely ship our premium CBD products. We are proud to legally ship KMRelief CBD goods across the country.
Is CBD safe for me?
Yes, CBD is generally regarded as a very safe product for adults. For more, read this article from Harvard on the safety of CBD. The FDA does not regulate CBD in terms of supplements, and many producers use questionable sources for their CBD. At KMRelief, we only source the highest quality USA-grown hemp CBD, ensuring you get the best possible product.
Is CBD safe for pets?
Yes! CBD is generally regarded as safe for pets as well, specifically mammals, however THC is not. We do not recommend giving CBD products to any animals other than mammals. Many pets, such as dogs and cats, may experience very positive effects from CBD.
What is CBD good for?
CBD has been said to be good for just about everything - but that isn't necessarily true and it really depends on the person. CBD has been known to offer healthful effects and wellness for chronic pain, insomnia, anxiety, epilepsy, glaucoma, muscle spasms, and more. This is extremely personal and will vary from person to person. Please see our Disclaimers section for more information.
What does "Full Spectrum" CBD mean?
Full spectrum means that a CBD product contains not only CBD, but also other cannabinoids, such as trace amounts of THC, as well as organic compounds such as terpenes, flavinoids, and fatty acids. Full spectrum CBD is tied to the "entourage effect" in which multiple, complimentary organic compounds created by hemp and cannabis plants tend to lead to a better overall experience with CBD.
